Penn State's trustees say late coach Joe Paterno's failure to follow up on a sexual abuse allegation against Sandusky "constituted a failure of leadership" that ultimately led to his firing in November. (AP) ? The judge in former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky's child sexual abuse case says a defense request for more information regarding when and where the alleged crimes occurred is moot because prosecutors can't produce additional detail.

Judge John Cleland's order Tuesday came a day after the two sides debated the issue before him in a central Pennsylvania courtroom.

Sandusky's lawyer Joe Amendola says in response that he'll file a motion next week to dismiss all charges "for lack of specificity." A message seeking reaction from the attorney general's office wasn't immediately returned.

The 68-year-old Sandusky is accused of sexual abuse of 10 boys over 15 years, allegations he denies. He is confined to his home while he awaits a mid-May start of trial.
