Walla Walla Washington Wine Come To Sodo Park In Seattle ? Miss ...

In Washington we?re known for our crisp apples, towering Mt. Rainier, even fabled Sasquatch, but perhaps our hottest local commodity creating a global buzz is our burgeoning wine industry. According to Wine Spectator Magazine, 47% of wines coming out of Washington are rated 90 points and above? a much higher percentage than most of the wine producing regions in the world. That?s a pretty stunning statistic considering we?re up against famed wine producers France, Germany and even our neighbors to the south, Oregon and California.

Taste some of the super-star wines coming out of Walla Walla, Washington on March 12, 2012 at the Walla Walla Wine event at Sodo Park?the popular wedding venue home to delectable Herban Feast. Some of my favorite wineries making the trek (so you don?t have to) include Abeja (who will also be doing a tasting at Bin 41 in West Seattle Tuesday, March 6th from 6-7:30), Dusted Valley Vintners, Helix, Sleight of Hand and Va Piano. Just remember that once you try these wines, there?s no going back to the two-buck-chuck.

WHEN: March 12, 2012.?Public Tasting from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
